Myself, I've been on strike from school since March 1, and there's an assembly for it today, only I can't go because I didn't get a day off at work. Urrrgh.

It sucks. I want to go vooote. Strike is fun. We're a good bunch at my school who go everyday to join in the protests, and it's awesome. I don't miss school at all, although it's starting to be worrying if they're gonna cancel the semester. If school starts again, though, I'll be severely bummed. I don't remember how stuff is done. XDD

Also I'm getting my head shaved in May to earn funds for cancer research.

I know about Egypt, have seen the kitten on facebook ....what I don't know about is Blackpool/garage training and the tattoo. Though if it's the one she posted, I DO know!

Though explain one thing to me, because obviously I'm a little slow on the uptake: what are you lot striking for/against? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for strikes for good causes. STRIKE!

Oh come on, I'm sure you'll remember how stuff is done. It's like riding bike, you'll never forget! :o

As for myself - I had a period of 9 weeks to finish up several essays, take several exams, draw a plan of the church we went to last June and move apartments. I'm now a city girl! Though I guess most people wouldn't exactly call it "city". xD My cousin is one of these people, though he grew up in Düsseldorf. Naturally anything smaller is a village to him.
Though I'm pretty pleased with the flat. It's a three room apartment with a comfortable kitchen and - alright - the bathroom's a little small. But I fit in comfortably. Minha mulher on the other hand is like "omgeee, the bathrooms so tiny I barely fit in and stuff!!!! but the flat is really nice overall. we're so lucky, aren't we?!" xD
The best thing though: we didn't have TV for like 2 weeks. Same with the internet connection. It was like hell for her.

Lawl, Binxeh, I'm not that awesome. Well, yeah, but lololol. Leucan is an organization that researches cancer/ provides relief for families and children with leukemia. I think no child should ever be sick, it's too sad. So the hair goes. I've always wanted to shave my head, anyway, but now I have a pretty darn good reason. Lovya too. :3

Cassers! :3 We're striking against the hike in tuition fees, because the government wants to increase what we pay by 75%, and we think that's insane. I've got most of what I have to say about it in my away notice over on the Vault, and I think it would take a long while to write out, and I'm not as epic pumped up tonight as I was that time. Lol

Also, that's awesome! When did you decide to move? And is it near Stuttgart? (I went to Germany last summer, in Baden-Württemberg, but not in Stuttgart) And I might have missed some stuff, but who the heck is Minha Mulher? It sounds awesome. You're lucky. Is it pretty?

Also, you seem pretty busy lately! I hope you make it through all right. Do you think you're gonna be done soon? And also will we be seeing more of you around? I've missed you, and it's good to have you back. :3

Binxy is right you know, you're pretty darn awesome for shaving your head for such a good cause. We don't have anything of the like around here, but I'd totally do the same if they asked me to.

Increasing tuition fees are the worst! They did the same to us a few years back... granted, our tuition fees probably aren't as high as yours, however, it was still a lot of money to pay for someone with a low monetary background like me. We too went on strike, however....long story made short: the students lost their case (we even went to court) and the tuition fee came. But this semester - FINALLY - the green (!) government made the universities to go back to the old fees so now I can afford taking courses again.

Oh heck, it wasn't really a decision I made, because my mother decided to buy a house near Karlsruhe and sell the one we lived in ever since I was in 2nd grade. XD It's not sold yet, because my mom and my siblings haven't moved yet, but we can see it coming! Anyway, we (minha mulher and I) applied for a cheap apartment here in Rastatt and we got one that's SUPER close to the mother of Kerstin, who is an old lady from Portugal. Plus, it's close to the river AND the people and houses aren't as ugly as most of the houses they offer are. I'm really happy with it. Minha mulher is Portuguese for "meine Frau" HAHA since we've been together for almost two years now xD

Heck, I know I said last time I'm gonna be online more, but I really plan to do so now! With the internet finally going back to working and all of that. I might not post as much over at the Vault, but I'm gonna stick in my head and nose in here more often now. I missed you lot more, I can tell you.

I love to hear a good success story! I thought uni was free in some parts of Germany, though? I dunno. I hear it's free in Austria, though. In fact, it's free in I think 12 countries, and I thought Germany was included... huh. But yeah, that's pretty awesome. Sort of gives me reason to hope more. We are gonna win this. Whatever happens. Yes. Did the protests get pretty intense? How long did you go on strike? I'm on strike since March 1st, but I've a friend in university who got on strike on Feb 14th. I have to vote again on the 30th, but my friend is on strike til we get free education. Wow.

Also, that's still pretty cool. I'm moving in a residence for uni this fall. That is, if my semester isn't cancelled, but oh well.

And aww, that's super cute! Two years? Congrats! Two years is a good mark. *nod* That's awesome. *nod nod* I haven't had a boyfriend since like... my ex in 2009. darn. YOU ARE LUCKY, make the best of it. :P

Haha, that's no prob, I've always been around, and even if I'm on a, er, two month long hiatus, or something, well, as you can see now, I'm still here. And I'll be here until I die of food poisoning, or uh, being mugged by kittens. Or something.

No birthday plans, really, since all I've been thinking about these past months is the strike, and haven't given anything else (homework included) a thought. I'm going to the restaurant with my friends, though, and supposed to go to a bar downtown to drink beer/eat Sauerkraut and sausages. And maybe go to the bar with another friend too, another time. Otherwise, there's a Rammstein concert on May 1st at the Bell Centre, and I am so going. Got my tickets and all. Otherwise, nah, probably just gonna have a supper with my family.

Basically, you're right. I mean, education is mostly basically free, however once people figure out how to make more money, they sure thing will take it on and do so whatever the cost. It took so long for them to realize how bad a decision that was.
Right now the fee got back to the basic of 100 something Euro. That money is split for two things: administration and the metro ticket. Paying that bit is alright, really.


I know I'm lucky. Most people I met were on the total idiots front.... xD

yesterday one of the guys bought these little exploding things that you put in the end of a cigarette, and when you light the cig it messes up the end of your cig and hopefully scares the crap out of the unlucky person who's lighting it.... It got done to two guys, it failed on the first guy, so we stuck three of these little things in a cig for a second guy, and he pooped himself XD it was hilarious lol

I'm slowly coming back hehe... I've been able to catch up a little more with my posting and come Christmas time when I'm at my mum's I shall be SUPERRRRR active

Right now I have no income, and I might end up having to leave the garage if I sign on a new benefit and my job centre finds me a job. If I have to give up my training for a job I love, just to join some crappy dead end job they find me... omg I'm gonna die!

I might not go my mum's for Christmas as well I probably should because I didn't go last year, and I have no money for anything if I stay home, and if I stay home my lack of activeness will be the same But I dunno.... I think my Nan is happy at the idea of me coming over for Xmas dinner

The garage doesn't have an income, it's volunteer work. But everything is to do with me failing my medical exam to say if I am still entitled to be on the sick. They think because I can now travel on my own and work in this garage that I can go into a normal job... WHICH I CAN'T >..< I still have anxiety problems and confidence issues which prevent me from working in a normal environment.

The garage was to help me build my confidence (which is has been doing, but I'm not fully there yet,) while having the bonus of being trained for a job I want to eventually work in properly, with pay, and around lots of new people seven five days a week (im only working 3 at the moment)

They have stopped my sick benefits and want me to apply for Job seekers, which on that they help me find a proper job. And if in time they do find me a proper paying job, I'll have to take it and that means I won't have time to stay at the garage.... I only see me being able to work a proper job and keep the garage is if it's a weekend job. But I'm not ready to take on a proper job yet *twitch*

I've reapplied to go on the sick, which I've been told I won't get unless I claim there is something new wrong with me... I'm like wtf that would be call benefit fraud because there is nothing new wrong with me! I do feel like saying; but you know what, s**w you, I have depression again through all this drama you've put me through

It's a load of poopy is what it is. They should give you the time you need to adapt. It's not because you're thrown into a new environment that you automatically start to thrive in it. It takes time. I know I kind of suck at adapting to things. Just going back to school after dropping out was really complicated for me, and yeah.

But it sucks, and they shouldn't be doing this to you. You need to take your time, do this right, and get better with yourself. It's not something they can push on you, really. Poopy.

You should get the sick thing again. Like, actually, if they find you a job and you're forced to take it and you have anxiety attacks there or something, it's not like anything's gotten better, so... POOP
